Mark Bruning

President & CEO

Mark Bruning is an experienced healthcare CEO with a proven track record, most recently successfully leading Colorado’s largest private equity-owned pediatric home nursing and medical therapy company, to significant growth in 24 months through de novo start-ups, double digit same store increases, introduction of new business lines and a strategic acquisition resulting in a highly successful sale and exit at the end of 2016. Mr. Bruning also led the nation’s largest emergency medical services and ambulance transportation healthcare provider, American Medical Response, with over 14,000 employees serving a diverse customer base in over 2,000 U.S. communities. Mark graduated from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University with a Masters of Business Administration (MBA).

Arthur Kanowitz, MD, FACEP

Co-founder, Chairman, Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Kanowitz is an Emergency Physician who has spent the last 16 years of his 47-year career in emergency medicine, working to improve patient safety during airway management. He is currently the chair of the Patient Safety Movement Foundation’s Airway Safety Workgroup, is the founder of the Airway Safety Movement and is the co-chair of the Society for Airway Management’s Coalition for Unplanned Extubation (UE) Awareness and Prevention. He is also on the Board of Advisors for the Patient Safety Movement Foundation. He retired from clinical practice in emergency medicine when he was appointed by Governor Hickenlooper to serve as the Emergency Medical and Trauma Services (“EMTS”) Medical Director for the State of Colorado from April 2008 to March 2017. Dr. Kanowitz has served on numerous regional, state and national committees and councils and is diversely published in medical literature.

Nam Trinh

Chief Operating Officer

Nam Trinh is a senior quality and engineering executive with progressive experience and successful leadership of Quality Management Systems within the global medical device landscape. Mr. Trinh has successfully spearheaded key product developments and manufacturing from concept to market and maintains a detailed knowledge of FDA QSR, ISO 13485, and European medical device regulations. Nam holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Colorado.

Alan Greene

Chief Marketing Officer

Al is a respiratory care professional with over 40 years of business development experience within academic hospitals and medical device companies, having led and developed clinical education, sales, and marketing teams in both domestic and foreign-held corporations. His love of education and focus on improving patient outcomes led him to Nellcor in 1988, at that time a startup medical device company, which subsequently was sold in 1998. Al spent the next 16 years at Fisher and Paykel Healthcare, US Operations, as head of Clinical Education, Marketing and Sales. He then made significant contributions to a series of successful startups in the Respiratory Disease Management and Sleep Spaces as Executive VP, Business Development and Chief Marketing Officer, most recently with Bleep Sleep. Mr. Greene actively serves on the Boards of Ataia Medical and SNAP-CPAP. Mr. Greene is a graduate of the SUNY System and a graduate of the UNC-CH Kenan-Flagler Executive Hospital Management Program.

Patrick Howe

Chief Commercialization Officer

Patrick is a medical device industry executive with a combined 34 years of clinical and business experience. His 18-year clinical experience started as a field medic serving in the US Army. After military service he worked as an emergency room Registered Nurse until taking a position as Physician Extender in Interventional Radiology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Mn. Transitioning to MedTech business he has spent the last 16 years advancing through the sales, marketing, and clinical business roles. Most recently he has spent the last 7 years as President and Founder of Patrick Howe Consulting providing executive level support to start up and midrange MedTech companies at all phases of the commercialization process. Prior to that he served on the speaker bureau for Abbott Medical, Vice President of Commercialization for NexGen Medical, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Bio2 Medical and Group Product Director for Angiotech Pharmaceuticals and Argon Medical. Mr. Howe has a Registered Nursing degree clinically training at the Mayo School of Allied Heath in Rochester Mn.

Scott Bourn, PhD, RN, FACHE

VP of Clinical Quality & Impact

Dr. Bourn is an experienced healthcare executive with an established reputation for leading health care and educational organizations to successfully adapt often complicated clinical, educational, and operational evidence in a way that significantly improves intended outcomes and reduces cost. Over the past decade he has led two diverse clinical organizations (multistate, multidisciplinary integrated community health delivery and the nation’s largest ambulance transportation provider) to develop valid and reliable measures of clinical impact, community health, and patient satisfaction, and then make measurable improvements in quality. He has participated in scores of clinical and educational research projects, and has over 200 publications to his credit. Dr. Bourn has practiced as a paramedic and emergency/critical care nurse, and has a PhD in Health and Behavioral Sciences from the University of Colorado. He is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality.

Greg Letendre

VP of Business Development, Federal Sector

Greg is an experienced business development professional with over 23 years of experience in the military, federal, non-profit, and commercial markets. He graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy and after a successful career in the Air Force, led project teams and managed client relationships at technology-focused startup companies and at a large management and information technology consulting firm. Greg’s primary clients were in the U.S. military, intelligence community, and federal markets. Greg holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Government from U.S. Air Force Academy and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Washington University in St. Louis.

Katie McIntyre

Senior Manager, Product Development

Katie McIntyre is an accomplished engineer with experience leading product development projects from start to finish. She has successfully engaged key opinion leaders, product users, and key manufacturing partners to design and develop innovative products across multiple markets within the medical device space. She has experience developing FDA compliant Class I and Class II medical devices in both a start-up environment and as a part of a large organization. Katie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
